The wire wound, surface mount fixed inductors have a high Q value for low resistance and also have a high inductance for filtering high frequency noise. A spokesperson told Electronics Weekly that typical specifications include an operating temperature of -40°C to 125°C and a typical current rating of 300mA, inductance of 10μH.
The typical self-resonant frequency is 35MHz and the typical Q value is 35 at an inductance frequency of 1MHz, said the spokesperson.
The inductors also have low DC resistance – typically 400mΩ max – which reduces heat and subsequent power loss, said the company.
The alternative fixed inductors have a compact design and a wide operating temperature range, says BEC Distribution. They are also RoHS-compliant. Suitable applications include power supplies, filtering circuits and dc-dc converters.
The fixed inductors are part of the BEC Select collection of alternative passive components, available with lead times from five to seven weeks (excluding public holidays).
BEC Distribution is a franchised distributor of terminal blocks, connectors, resistors, inductors, coils, chokes, and power supplies. It offers many products ex-stock, with a low MOQ of just 10 pieces for samples.
